People Skills

The People Skills class is an introductory course designed to prepare Deaf adults for success on the job and in their personal lives. They will be equipped with soft skills that include understanding various communication methods and approaches, how to properly interact with others, how to best maintain working relationships as well as how to build sincere and trusting personal relationships. Students will also develop a better understanding of social rules and norms, learn coping strategies when dealing with conflict or confusion, and understand how to solve problems in positive and constructive ways. Class activities are primarily interactive and are designed to prepare students for increased fluency and communication in the workplace.
