Treatments for Hearing Loss
Parents and Professionals work as a team to determine the most appropriate treatment for a child with hearing loss based on several factors: Is the loss permanent or temporary? Will the child be aided or not? Will surgery be an option later on or right away? And through it all, what sort of communication strategies are being used to make sure your baby is receiving and producing age-appropriate language. This handout will discuss different treatment options and who is responsible for providing the care.
